Greyfriars Bobby is one of Edinburgh's most cherished stories. A Skye Terrier who guarded his owner's grave in Greyfriars Kirkyard for fourteen years until his own death in 1872, Bobby became a symbol of loyalty that the city has never forgotten. His small bronze statue on Candlemaker Row is one of Edinburgh's most visited landmarks, and his grave sits just inside the kirkyard gates. This pendant is a tribute to that story, captured in fine gold.

The Design

Sculpted in solid 9ct yellow gold, this pendant reproduces Bobby's familiar form with remarkable detail: the shaggy coat, the attentive posture, the character of a dog who simply refused to leave. Available in two finishes — polished yellow gold, and black rhodium-plated gold with yellow gold accents that echoes the patina of the famous bronze statue on Candlemaker Row. Both are hallmarked by the Edinburgh Assay Office.
